It is about a 500-bed acute care facility.

Additional Information about our Progress Care Unit: ? 29-Bed Medical PCU, 20-Bed Cardiac PCU, and 15-Bed Surgical PCU ? Nurse to patient ratios based on acuity (very fast pace) ? Patient turnover ranges from 1 ? 12 days, depending on the unit ? Types of patients you will see on Medical PCU are ventilated tracheostomy patients ? Types of patients you will see on the Cardiac PCU require various drips and rhythm monitoring ? Types of patients you will see on Surgical PCU are recovering from cardiothoracic surgery, as well as vascular, thoracic and other surgical procedures ? Our Medical PCU is a stroke designated unit, where patients with neurologic problems are seen ? Part of LGMC Shared Governance councils ? Leaders on this unit have a passion for supporting nurses in reaching their professional goals, excellent practice, and collegial relationships Responsibilities: ? Demonstrates accountability for essential clinical knowledge to positively affect patient outcomes within the scope of nursing practice while assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating care.
? Demonstrates strong and accurate clinical judgment and competent or expert nursing skills while following established policies including those related to confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic and digital).
? Documents effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
? Incorporates time management and prioritizes for efficiency and productivity.
? Follows LGMC process for dispensing of medications and narcotic control and employs clinical judgment related to medication administration.
